About prmits

Building permits and county property assessments are public record. They are also spread across dozens of separate portals, published in inconsistent formats, and structured for clerks rather than for the contractors who need them.

prmits collects those feeds, normalizes them, and matches every roofing permit to the parcel it was issued against. The result is one dataset you can search by address, owner, contractor, county, city, or ZIP — and one map you can work from.

• 1,028,019 roofing permits across 24 Florida counties, issued between 1987{" "}and 2026.
• 984,217 properties matched to those permits, with owner, mailing address, assessed value, year built, homestead status, and absentee-owner flag.
• 16,310 distinct contractors named on permit records.

Permit data comes from county and municipal permitting systems. Property attributes come from the Florida Department of Revenue tax roll and county property appraisers. Coordinates are geocoded from the U.S. Census geocoder.

Roofing across Florida is what runs in production today. The pipeline is not roofing-specific — permit domains such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and solar use the same model, and additional counties are added as their feeds are cleared. We would rather ship one trade and one state that are genuinely complete than a national map with holes in it.

Everything in the platform originates in public record. We do not buy consumer data, we do not enrich records with phone numbers or emails scraped from elsewhere, and we do not sell the dataset on. Access is limited to signed-in customer accounts. See our privacy policy for the details.
